Kees Geerse holds a Master’s degree in Animal Science and Nutrition from Wageningen University (1981). With nearly 45 years of experience in the international feed industry, he has served in senior roles at leading global companies including DSM, Provimi–Cargill, and Nutreco–Trouw Nutrition. From the late eighties through the nineties, Kees played a pivotal role in the development and practical implementation of feed enzymes, with a particular focus on microbial phytase—an innovation that fundamentally transformed monogastric nutrition worldwide. Throughout his career, his core expertise has centered on commercial feed formulation for monogastrics, alongside the scientific evaluation of feed ingredients and feed additives, including their impact on gut health. Today, Kees works as an independent nutritional consultant, supporting companies across the entire global feed chain. His mission is to promote rational, evidence-based nutrition, challenging myths and beliefs and translating science into practical, profitable decisions.
