Passport

Visitors travelling to Vietnam are required to be in possession of passports that are valid for at least six months beyond the period of their stay in Vietnam and must have at least one blank visa page (not including the endorsement page). 

Visa

Vietnam visa is required. However, visitors from certain countries may enter visa-free, and stay for the indicated number of days. To view visa exemptions for diplomatic and other passports, please visit here.

Conference attendees are responsible for arranging their own lodging/accommodation. You can choose to stay at the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel or at nearby hotels in District 1 - all within walking distance and catering to various needs and budgets. Given that this is the peak season for events and conventions in Ho Chi Minh City, we recommend booking your accommodations as early as possible to avoid disappointment. (Note: there is currently no conference group room rate for Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel.)

Please have your credit card ready, as most hotels will request it at check-in to guarantee your room charges and incidental expenses. 

Taxis
International Terminal
There are several options for getting a taxi from the airport to the city center (District 1) and the fare ranges from VND 150,000 – 300,000 each way. 

Pre-paid taxis cost more compared with the main taxi queue. The pre-paid taxi counters are located within the airport building, right after you have cleared customs. You are encouraged to arrange your taxi at the Mai Linh Taxi counter: inform the staff of your destination, make payment (flat rate applies) at the counter and they will arrange the taxi for you.

Metered Taxis are available for hire at the main taxi queue located on the left of the terminal building. We urge all guests to choose a taxi from a reputable company (eg Mai Linh, Sasco, Vinasun) and make sure that the driver turns on the meter after you board the taxi. The fare to most hotels in District 1 should be around 150,000 – 300,000 VND and you will have to pay extra 10,000 VND to cover the Airport surcharge.

Domestic Terminal
At the domestic terminal, a company called Sasco has the airport taxi concession and is the only company allowed to pick up passengers directly adjacent to the building. Their cars are the first you will see as you exit the terminal.

Ride Hailing Apps
Grab is a common car ride-hailing app in Vietnam. You can book your car with your phone and wait in the arrivals area for your car.
