Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, Aníbal has been with Desmet since 1984, accumulating over 41 years of experience in the oilseed crushing industry. Throughout his career, he has led numerous Crushing plant projects both in Argentina and internationally. He currently serves as Global Innovation Program Director for the Solids Area at Desmet, and also acts as Global Technical Consultant for Crushing, maintaining close collaboration with key players across the global oilseed industry. Among his notable achievements, Aníbal played a central role in the strategy and design of the world’s largest solvent extraction plant, with a capacity of 22,000 MTPD of soybean. He is also co-inventor on several critical patents related to solvent extraction equipment.
He is a frequent speaker and coordinator at major industry events, including:

·  LAOCS and AOCS conferences (multiple editions)

·  USSEC and SBOG conferences

Since 2016, Aníbal has served on the board of the Asociación Argentina de Grasas y Aceites (ASAGA), and was its President during the 2020–2022 term.
