Sanjeev Asthana is a well-recognized and respected expert in the fields of Food & Agriculture with more than three decades of experience both in India and globally. He currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Patanjali Foods limited
and serves as an independent director on the board of NABCONS (NABARD Subsidiary), a reputable organization. In addition, he is the President of the Centre of Excellence for Dairy Skills in India (CEDSI) and a Director of the Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI). He is also a non-resident fellow at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, a think tank based in the US. Sanjeev has managed large businesses in various locations, including Europe, Southeast Asia, and India, for companies such as Reliance, Cargill, ITC, and Britannia. While serving as the President and Chief Executive of Reliance Retail, he developed a strong sourcing and distribution model, scaling up the business significantly. Prior to that, he served as a Director on the board of Cargill India. He worked as Country Head, ITC Global Holdings and East Europe Head based at Romania; and also worked with ITC - International Business Division (IBD) Hyderabad and Britannia.

Sanjeev is closely involved in policy-level discussions with government bodies and international organizations like GAIN, UNICEF, World Bank, IFC, and ADB, as well as with leading companies on topics such as Agriculture, Food Security, Livelihoods, and Sustainability. His international affiliation is with The Chicago Council a leading think tank of US on policy issues. Mr. Asthana has served on several Task forces and Committees of the GoI.
