A retired U.S. Marine Corps Infantry Officer (Major), he spent 28 years at Bunge as Director of Soybean Procurement and processing plant manager across multiple locations, managing the complete soybean value chain from origination to finished product. Since retirement, Gordon serves as senior consultant to the United Soybean Board and United States Soybean Export Council, advising seed technology companies on soybean quality optimization while actively trading equities and commodities.
Gordon has visited 20 countries promoting U.S. soybean utilization and optimizing processing plant operations for volume, efficiency, and profitability. His expertise spans commodity trading and hedging, futures market optimization, soybean processing plant management, rail and barge logistics, supply chain development, and processing troubleshooting. He holds a B.A. from DePauw University and advanced certifications from Pepperdine, INSEAD France, Purdue, and Washington University, with Six Sigma and ISO 9001 credentials. Former board member: National Grain and Feed Association and National Oilseed Processors Association.
