Anne Benjaminson serves as the deputy principal officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. Most recently, she was the deputy director in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Office of Maritime Southeast Asia. Since joining the Foreign Service in 2004, she has served as deputy economic counselor in Kyiv, economic officer in Kabul, cultural affairs officer in Dushanbe and consular officer in Budapest, as well as domestically in the Office of Afghanistan Affairs and Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs. A native of New York City, she graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and the Foreign Service Economic Studies course. She is married and has two children.
