Darian McBain is a globally experienced Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), advisor and board member. She is a world recognised expert, speaker and author on sustainability, ESG, supply chains, business human rights and sustainable finance. She is a UN SDG Pioneer for a Sustainable Ocean Economy 2021, a Fast Company Most Creative People in Business 2020, and was named one of Asia's Top Sustainability Superwomen.

Darian is the CEO and Founder of Outsourced Chief Sustainability Officer Asia (OCSO Asia). Darian was the inaugural Chief Sustainability Officer for the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the first CSO for a central bank globally. Prior to this, she was the Global Director of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability for Thai Union, a multi-billion dollar listed FMCG company operating globally and headquartered in Asia. With Thai Union she created an award winning sustainability strategy which was ranked first in the food category of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and Seafood Stewardship Index for multiple years. In a career spanning over 20+years, Darian has held roles including Managing Director of the agency Blue Sky Green, Director of Policy/Sustainable Development Executive for the National Health Service (NHS) Purchasing Agency; Communications Manager at the International Maritime Organisation for the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds; a lead with WWF on market transformation for commodities such as palm oil and timber; and worked for an Australian environmental regulator, the NSW EPA.

Darian is a Visiting Professor in Practice with the London School of Economics and Political Science (Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment), a Senior Associate with the University of Oxford, Public and Third Sector Academy for Sustainable Finance, and an adjunct Senior Lecturer with Integrated Sustainability Analysis. She holds holds a PhD on social and environmental indicators for global supply chain analysis, and is a published academic. Darian holds a MSc in Business Strategy, Politics and Environment from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental) from the University of NSW.

Most recently, Adamson served as a Senior Policy Advisor for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs in the Foreign Agricultural Service where he led development and implementation of international climate efforts, including USDA’s participation in the annual United Nation’s Climate Conferences (COP 26, 27, and 28). He led the development of USDA’s International Climate Hub and supported development and advancement of U.S.-led and co-led international initiatives and coalitions, including the Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate. Before that, Adamson served as the Portfolio Manager for Certis Biologicals. Previously, he held roles in account management and market development with Corteva Agrisciences and worked as a Crop Consultant and Plant Health and Nutrition Specialist with Nutrien. Adamson is a native of Merrillville, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Agricultural Economics.

Kwanpadh is the Senior Country Officer for World Bank Thailand. He plays a key role in the management of the relationships with the Thai government and the implementation of the World Bank’s Partnership Framework for Thailand. He leads and supports dialogues between the World Bank teams and the government of Thailand on various topics including urban infrastructure finance, energy transition, climate finance, water resource management, innovation policy, digital development as well as business and investment climate. Before joining the World Bank Bangkok Office, he was the Regional Adviser in the UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub, managing a regional program to promote business integrity and a fair business environment in ASEAN countries, as well as supporting countries in the Asia-Pacific region on transparency, integrity as well as broader governance issues. Prior to that he was with UNDP in Afghanistan and Myanmar. He has more than 17 years of experience in public policy advisory services and graduated from the London School of Economics with a master’s degree from University of St. Andrews in Management, Economics, and International Relations. He was also a Research Fellow in the Public Policy and Policy Analysis at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

Dennis Wan heads the front-line team engaging with regional financial markets actors and stakeholders for CDP, an NGO running the world’s largest repository of climate change, water security and forestation environmental data. Founded on transparency, CDP has produced scoring and research to catalyse sustainable investment, procurement and policy decisions across the globe for over two decades.

After personally witnessing USA forest fires in 2021, Mr. Wan left a career in banking to drive environmental transparency by joining CDP. Immediately prior, he spent 22 years with Credit Suisse across Tokyo, New York and Singapore, rising from junior accountant to Chief Operating Officer of Hong Kong. In this final role, he ran the Board of Directors and locational governance for all banking business lines and support functions, interacting regularly with international regulators and authorities. Mr. Wan studied with the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, graduated from Imperial College and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.

Rida Nurafiati is a Capital Markets Senior Project Officer at CDP. Her works span across Asia Pacific where she focuses on promoting landscape approaches to financial institutions and assessing investment portfolio’s risks exposure to deforestation. While serving at CDP, she has co-authored six publications on sustainability-related topics.

Rida has been working in sustainability-related roles for 7 years, ranging from consultant to researcher. She previously worked in SYSTEMIQ managing ecosystem restoration projects under Partnerships for Forests (P4F) in Southeast Asia. She also previously joined the World Resources Institute Indonesia as a researcher, where she focused on a study on natural capital accounting from non-timber forest resources.

Rida earned her MSc in Carbon Finance from The University of Edinburgh, UK.

Dr Allinnettes Go Adigue is the Head of the ASEAN Regional Hub of the Global Reporting Initiative. As Head of GRI’s ASEAN Hub, Ally is tasked to promote the practice of sustainability reporting across Southeast Asia by working with relevant stakeholders to create a conducive policy environment for sustainable business practices, promote wider adoption of sustainability reporting and build the capacity of organizations in sustainability reporting.

A lifelong learner and a global citizen, Ally has lived in 3 continents in the past 19 years. Prior to GRI, Ally has previously worked for the academe, and both the public and private sectors. While working on her PhD, she worked as a graduate research assistant in the field of Climate Change Policy and Economics. She also worked in a retail electricity company in Singapore and for the Office of the President of the Philippines. Ally earned her PhD on Public Policy from the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University in 2017. She has two Masters degrees: one in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University, The Netherlands; and another in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. She also has Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Political Science.

Dr. Tan is currently Executive Director of CropLife Asia, the Asian operation of an international trade association with a presence in more than 90 countries.

At CropLife Asia, Dr. Tan is responsible for directing regulatory, crop protection, seeds, intellectual property, biotechnology as well as communications and outreach programs in 15 Asian countries. His other professional experience includes: establishing the University of Putra Malaysia’s (UPM) Genome Centre; management of two startup ventures developing bioinformatics software and prenatal genetic testing; and establishing the biotechnology section for the Sime Darby Technology Centre among other roles. Dr. Tan holds a bachelor of science in plant pathology from the Universiti Pertanian Malaysia, a masters of science in genetic engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a doctorate in molecular biology specializing in plant viruses from Okayama University in Japan. Professional recognition includes a Silver Award at the 2005 Geneva International Exhibitions & Inventions of New Techniques and Products, a U.S. Government Cochran Fellowship for biological research at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, and UPM awards for Research and Development.

With 27 years of experience, Mr. Hai had a valuable contribution to Develop Sustainable Strategy and Sustainable policy for fostering both of State and Private Sector.

Since 2015, Mr. Hai has participated in the consultancy for the issuing of Resolution no.19 by Vietnamese Government on the Improvement of Business Environment and Enhancement of National Competitiveness. Mr. Hai also acts as technical team leader to develop the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) – the first Vietnamese index for measuring sustainability – from 2014 to 2016, and run for the embedded of CSI into Resolution no.19. In which accordingly, VCCI should collaborate with other Ministries and departments for training the application of CSI in business management and ranking companies based on CSI since 2016 up to date.

Mr. Hai also had particular involvement in the completion of the Project on Evaluating low-carbon technologies in corporate with JICA. Output of the Project is valuable information for the revision of Vietnam’s Nationally Determined Commitment in reducing the greenhouse gas emissions in 2018. Recently, Mr. Hai has been invited by the Minister of Ministry of Natural Resource Environmental for preparing Circular Economy Concept paper for next decade of Viet Nam socio economic development.

From 2005 to 2011, Mr. Hai took the lead in the implementation of CSR Awards – in which businesses with best practices in corporate social responsibility was named, first applied in shoes and garment, then in multi industries.

Ellen has over 12 years of experiences in sustainability across the financial services industry and NGOs. Prior to Rabobank, Ellen worked at the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) where she covered the sustainable and green finance initiatives of HKEX including the Sustainable and Green Exchange (STAGE) and the carbon market development in Hong Kong. She was also the Senior Advisor, Environmental Finance of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) as part of the global Environmental Bonds Initiative.

Andre Simangunsong has joined Bank Mandiri since 2019. He is part of the Economist team at Bank Mandiri and Mandiri Institute. He leads research on sustainability implementation at Mandiri Institute as part of the Bank’s business strategy and provides inputs for sustainability policy formulation in Indonesia.

Before Bank Mandiri, Andre was involved in some consultancy work to strengthen Indonesia's investment and trade policies.

Having 15+ years in global capital markets, investment management and consulting in the UK and UAE, as well as prior experience at Goldman Sachs and ADIA, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Tung is currently the co-head of VinaCarbon, a VinaCapital’s fund, investing in sustainable projects/companies that can generate carbon credits. He has also secured preferred bank partnership for car financing globally for VinFast/VinGroup

Emily is the Sustainability Manager Asia & Vietnam where she is responsible for the ESG agenda of De Heus in the region. She joined De Heus after completing University in the Netherlands in 2014. Emily has worked across various functions, including project management, M&A and strategic marketing. Through her work in various locations including Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Netherlands and Vietnam, Emily has gained practical insights into the agriculture value chain.

In 2024, Emily was elected as Vice Chairwomen of the Food, Agri and Aqua Sector Committee under EuroCham.

Carolina has a solid background in consultancy and research and development of products in the agri-food sector, which she combines with her passion for sustainable agriculture and food production. Her journey includes obtaining an engineering doctorate in Sustainable Chemical Product Design from TU Delft, which has equipped her with the skills to drive positive change. Leveraging her knowledge and customer orientation, she drives product strategy for environmental impact databases of agri-food products. At Mérieux NutriSciences | Blonk, she is currently the strategic product manager for Agri-footprint and the GFLI database, focused on animal feed and agricultural commodities.

Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam has graduted from Vietnam University of Fisheries since 1999 with the background of seafood quality management. He was the HACCP tutor since 2002.

After university until now, Mr Nam has been working in Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP). VASEP is a non-governmental organization to coordinate and link enterprises operations, based on mutual supports to improve value, quality and competitive capacity of Vietnamese seafood, represent and protect legal interests of members. VASEP’s members takes 80% of Vietnam seafood turnover annually. VASEP members include leading Vietnamese seafood producers and exporters and companies providing service to the seafood sector.

He has been a Deputy General Secretary of VASEP since 2007, also the chief of VASEP’s Representative Office in Hanoi. He takes responsibilities on Policy Advocacy & Goverment relations, seafood market communication, training activities for fishery sector, and linkage activities between Gorverment and Seafood Industry.

Lukas Manomaitis is the Managing Director of Seafood Consulting Associates and has worked professionally in the aquaculture industry since 1995.  His primary client is the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) where he has worked for over 20 years to promote the use of U.S. Soy products in aquaculture internationally.  This includes working on the expansion of the USSEC Aquaculture Program from China to a global program in 2002, the expansion of the In-Pond Raceway System (IPRS) technology from China to a global program starting in 2015, and helping to conceptualize and create the International Aquaculture Feed Formulation Database (IAFFD, at www.IAFFD.com).  He also serves on the USSEC Global Research Committee and helped update the USSEC IPRS Manual.  He currently works with USSEC on a global basis, and specifically in Southeast Asia to direct USSEC activities regionally.  He is also the USSEC Lead on the IAFFD initiative globally.

He is based in Thailand and travels often in the Southeast Asian region and internationally.  He served as an officer in the World Aquaculture Society (as the Asia-Pacific Chapter President) and is on the Global Seafood Alliance’s Standards Oversight Committee. He works closely with the global aquaculture industry improve approaches across the aquaculture production chain.  He holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Auburn University.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh has more than 30 years experience in seafood sector. She is a graduate from Nha Trang University, Vietnam and Asian Instutue of Technology, Thailand who has worked for seafood industry, certification body, university and standard development organization. She is currently a lecturer at Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and acting as the Vietnam Country Coordinator of Global Seafood Alliance, US. During the past 10 years working for GSA, based on her knowledge and well-connections with industry and government, she has assisted several firms in Vietnam and some other Asian countries toward sustainable and responsible seafood supply chains.

Dr. Pham Viet Anh graduated from Bergen University in Norway with a master course of Fisheries Biology and Management and obtained a PhD Degree of Applied Ecology and Environmental Biology at Ghent University, Belgium.

Currently, working at GLOBALG.A.P. as a Technical Key Account Manager in Viet Nam. GLOBALG.A.P. is a private standard certifying for aquaculture, livestock and crop products to ensure producers comply with worldwide accepted criteria for food safety, sustainable production methods, worker and animal welfare, and responsible use of water, compound feed and plant propagation materials.

Prior to this he was the Directorate of Fisheries under Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development responding for traceability and sustainability of fisheries products.

Reggie farms with his wife, Laura, their daughter, Savannah, and his father, Garrett. Their diversified farm produces soybeans, corn, pigs, turkeys, pickling cucumbers, sweet potatoes and flue-cured tobacco. A seventh-generation farmer, Reggie holds a degree in agribusiness management from North Carolina State University, and he worked with the Agricultural Business Management Department at the university seasonally for 10 years before transitioning to full-time farming. In addition to their daughter, he and Laura have a son, Grayson.

Tarik Eluri is the Sustainability Manager at the U.S. Soybean Export Council. With more than 10 years of experience in agriculture working at the intersection of research, technology, and sustainability; he now helps drive the U.S. soybean industry toward a more profitable and sustainable future through market-based solutions.

Timothy Loh has been the Regional Director with the U.S. Soybean Export Council Inc. since 2014. In addition to his general management responsibilities, he also supports a team of 35 trade and technical professionals dedicated to the promotion of U.S. Soy for food and feed applications in key destination markets in Southeast Asia and Oceania. Having served as the region’s Director of Marketing for over half of his 21-year career with the U.S. Soy Industry, Timothy continues to provide leadership in the development of marketing strategies and customer experience management. Timothy started his career in ocean transportation, managing the commercial prospects of a fleet of Panamax vessels with an international shipping firm. He later joined a U.S. based grain company, Continental Grain Company (CGC), gaining operational experience at its regional headquarters in Hong Kong, Geneva, and New York, before moving to the Philippines as CGC’s Country Marketing Manager. Timothy holds a Masters in Agribusiness from Kansas State University, and a Degree in Finance from Western Michigan University. His focus is in international agribusiness marketing and trade, ocean transportation and supply-chain logistics for agricultural commodities.
